Americans, what message do we want to send to the world?
There is a world-wide concern that the US wants to create an global empire based on our own model.
What message would you rather America portray?
Do you want to be seen as an imperilistic nation, forcing others to align themselves with you or else face military or economic sanctions?
While it is generally a good thing to be patriotic and believe in your country, are we being realistic if we believe our nation is so great that everyone should be like us?
We are a young country. We have much to learn and improve on. We have not addressed cultural diversity, crime, health care, and poverty issues very well within our own borders, let alone being ready to address it on a global scale.
Consider this:
1) We can set a good example by addressing these things within our borders first. Maybe others will follow.
2) Or we can force others to follow our less than ideal example now and risk the downfall of any progress we have made.
What message would you prefer to send?
"I didn't get past your first sentence... Extraodinary claims require extraordinary evidence. " - Eurotrip Don
Actually, the first sentence was in the title, "Americans, what message do we want to send to the world?"
That question set the tone. If you got stuck on the following sentence, than you missed the point entirely.
Try doing a search on the Internet to help validate that statement:
"American Empire" = 2,150,000 responses.
"American Imperialism" = 615,000 responses.
"New World Order" America = 4,590,000 responses.
However, whether you want to believe there is a world-wide concern about US Imperialism or not, is your choice.
The fact remains, our decisions and actions speak loudly. Therefore what MESSAGE do we want to send the world? And, have we been sending the right message?
How about answering that.

That we acknowledge our past trespasses and are willing to learn from them.
That we need to focus inward and address the concerns within our own borders first and foremost.
That we wish to find our proper place among the global community and will do our share of the work to make the world a better place..
That Americans want the same thing most people want, to live in peace and prosper.

I didn't get past your first sentence, "There is a world-wide concern that the US wants to create an global empire based on our own model."
Really? Is that true? Extraodinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Someone said that all the stupid questions on this website got the most no. of answers. Yours got only one(before this one)
So, it is right. Good question, no answers. Why?
Because we are brain washed, because the best movie in USA is called "Dumb and dumberer", because we are watching On news for weeks if Angelina Jolie had a baby, but no reports of our killed soldiers... This country is going to hell.

The message that Americans' want to send it one of horror and death with love and tranquility.
I say death to all those who hate our life. The Eastern civilization wants to end our Western lifestyle.
What we need to show the world is that America will take on anyone who wants to go. We need to show the world that America isn't afraid and America won't tolerate **** anymore.
We've had to take too much **** during the Clinton years with no revenge!
Simply we need to kick everyone's *** that wants us dead. Everyone who likes us is ok, even if they are socialist bastards like in Europe. It's ok to be different, but just crazy Muslim "I wanna kill you" different.
