What are some great ways to promote a new African music night club in the Los Angeles Area?

I need some help! Can anyone think of a few great ways to promote a night club specializing with an African theme and world music (i.e. Reggae, Salsa, Afro Beat, African music, etc.)

I have tons of flyers with no idea where to start!

Locals please help!

invite a radio station the "grand opening" Offer them lots of freebies for attending...Have local college student pas out bags of tickets, with different colors or codes on them...the tickets should offer a freebie like a free drink or fre admittance(you will make money on the rest of the drink sold those nights)...for every ticket that comes back the person who passed it out gets $2... (this is to ensure they are passing them out to people who will show and once again you make the $ on the rest they spend for the night)....This works great I once worked for a DC club that started this way and they are still going strong 6 years later

They can be. Music is and has often been linked to emotional matters and many of the great writers of history have spoken of it as such. I also find that music is often good at arousing feelings in the listener, even when one cannot personally identify with the words of a song or the thematic content. For example I can think of the song "Forever Autumn" (which is included in the "War of the Worlds" musical) and appreciate the feelings of sadness and longing just from the tune, even though I've never lost a lover (or had one to lose). I frankly don't have a song at the moment, though I have a tune in my head...
