I say that's a bunch of b.s. I'm constantly burning candles, especially Yankee Candle votives and have no lung problems. Now if the candle wick had a lot of lead or releases a lot of soot then it could potentially lead to problems.

Is that true of incense too? I always have incense burning--to get rid of the smell of the cigarette smoke. My daughter always lights scented candles in her room. This news is really shocking to me--why would they be sold everywhere to anyone--if they are more dangerous than cigarettes?

do they really? that is heart breaking... i love candles. what about organic candles... the ones that are made of soy?

i guess maybe they shouldn't ban them but rather put a warning out for consumers. i think i am well informed but had no idea!!!!!!

What's your source on this statement? I have seen a lot more patients that are being treated for diseases from smoking, haven't ever heard of diseases from candles

    Scented candles still smell better.

Nope, don't believe it! Some candles have lead wicks and those are dangerous to burn. What....are you a smoker?
