My friend hacked into my aim account, does anyone know how he did it or how i can stop him from doing it again

This is called social engineering. Your friend doesn't hack or you wouldn't know he was there.

He knows your zip, your birthday and probably your name right?

That's how a password is retrieved

He probably saw you type it or it was easy to guess from knowing you. Or he could have loaded a key stroke logger on your PC. Do you save you AIM password so you do not need to type it? There are also programs that can crack a saved password (saved passwords where you don't have to type them in are less secure).

Just so you don't listen to the one dummy. You certainly don't need a new computer because of this. Just change your password to something better and scan your computer with a good antivirus or spyware remover to check for a key logger. And don't ever buy a Mac. Mac's suck. I'm sure they do have key loggers for Macs also. There probably just isn't as many of them for Macs just like there isn't as many other kinds of software for Macs (compared to PCs) because they suck. Compatibility is best.

Update out windows operating system, anti-virus, ad-ware and anti-spy programs.

If you can find anti-ad/spyware problems do a yahoo search for spybot and ad-ware there very good.

Once update run one at a time your anti-virus,ad,spy ware programs.

After that, log into your aim account, check your details are correct if there correct then change them, ie new password and new question /answer if your forgetten your password.

Just wait and some idiot will tell you how to hack others computers.

If you get caught it's prison. And you will never be able to use a computer again. Even for work.

How do you know your friend hacked your AIM account? If you have evidence, you can report him to the authorities or AOL. They will take care of him and, oh, he will never do it again after that.

Change some of you personal information as well as changing your password. That will work.

Get a tougher password.

A real friend wouldn't hack you.

Depending on how good he is, you can just enable Windows Firewall. That would probably keep me out :)

she used a keystroke recorder,. just get a new computer. to stop it, get a mac, becuase the programs doesnt work on macs

change your password and dont let your friends use your computer
