Indian "pop song" recommendations wanted?
I'm just an American who really likes some of the songs by Indian artists on the "Bend it Like Beckham" soundtrack.
In particular I'm looking for recommendations of songs, particularly legal downloads, similar to the songs:
Jind Mahi by Malkit Singh
Punjabiyan Di Shaan by Hans Raj Hans
Darshan by B21
Tere Bin Nahin Lagda by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Noorie by Bally Sagoo
Similar sound tracks or playlists or just your personal favorites like these would be great! Thanks!

Song "Chaiyya Chaiyya" sung by Sukhwinder Singh & Sapna Awasthi. It's from the terrible movie Dil Se. The song is excellent, and was on the Inside Man soundtrack.

Well, I'm Indian so I should tell you food is amazingly great in the Point of View of foreigners. Your friends saying all they eat is curry and rice implies that all you westerners eat is bread. (no offense) There are vaRIOUS sorts of curries, all very delicious, and most of he curries are based on potatoes, okra (or ladyfinger), Peas, Cauliflower, and their combinations. I should warn you that they might be neutral to us Indians, but the food might be a touch spicier than the food you eat. There is a lot of vegan variety out there as well. To eat with the curries you have rice which also may have some components to make it look and taste better. Also, you have a roti or parantha (a bread base, which is cooked) to form a neutral, no-taste food to add mass to the food. Indian food is also said to have a huge variety, possibly the largest in all cuisines. You will find something for your choice.
