How can we complain about the referee who sucked in today's U.S vs. Italy game? He WAS BIASED and UNFAIR!

I totally agree with you. He didn't do a proper job as a referee. The first red card needed to be called but the other two? I don't know. A yellow maybe but not a red.

guys..it's a tied game.BIG DEAL. If the US/ ITALY really was just having a bad referee..they can prove it by winning their other games. and I personally think the ref WAS justified. This game did have some things that's pretty hard to call for but he made the right decisions. he gave red cards to the players because some of the actions could've given the hurt player some major damage. Even if the ref was unjust..it wouldn't have changed the game in any way in my opinion. If you watched the game, both teams were very strong and before, when they still had equal amount of players on each team it didn't show that one team was dominating the other. They were still equally matched.the US were rewarded a goal from italy's mistake, and italy was safe becuz of US being offside. that doesn't mean one of the teams should've had a definite win. It's a tied game. Big deal. Some people should stop complaining about the referee and really look at WHY the referee did what he did.

Yeah the US should be proud after what happened in their other game=P

Before you make any judgements on whether the referee was biased or not, I think you should first look at whether YOU are biased or not, and since you clearly are, you don't have the right to judge whether the referee was fair or not.

In my opinion, from a completely objective standpoint, I think the referee did a pretty descent job. There was only 1 standard in the whole game, and it was kept very well to both teams. Therefore, the referee was fair.

In order for the USA to have a chance of doing something worthwhile in this world cup, they HAVE to learn to be more disciplined. They have a habit of using their hands way too often, and although those offenses are tolerated in lets say the MLS, they're not in the world cup. Therefore, this game should be a very good lesson for them.

However, give the Americans credit, they did show a considerable amount of skill and determination in their effort today.

Learn the rules of the game first! All 3 Reds were merited. FIFA wants to cancel out Elbows (1st red card) and 2 legged lunges or tackles (2nd red card). But you are right from the point of view that CONCAVAF (where US plays) & South American Refs (this Ref) like to take centre stage rather than let the game flow. Write to FIFA.

The game was close because Italy played way below par. Maybe they were auditioning for Holiwood!!!!

the referee was terrible he favored Italy almost the entire game except for a few minutes here and there and he should have given Spain a penalty shot and a free kick from just outside the right side of the goalie box and the worst part?: he was German!!!

USA played a great game tonight. I'm just sorry you haven't played well against Czech republic but if you play against Ghana like you played tonight you have big chances to go through to the second round. Go USA! Greetings from Croatia, maybe we'll meet in the second round ;)

I thought the game was good even though i only watched 20 min of it. and only 9 people were playing... However I didnt pay much attention to the referee.....

i agree. i think the red cards on the U.S. was stupid and unnecessary. the first red card should have been just a fowl and the other one maybe have a yellow. there was no need for the reds.

referee was good and he made a good job. And USA should loose they are soooooooo baaaaad. Cross-finger for Ghana in next match!!

ummmm.....did u know after u receive 1 yellow card....the next card will be red????

The ref was fair....but i do agree that some part, the ref made some mistakes.

but overall....i would judge him as a fair ref.
