ok i believe it was by design, and to those who think it was by accident and believe that everything evolved into what it is now, how can you explain that???? there is no scientific proof of any type of evolution ever, only theories and speculation.... also, that would mean that you believe that giraffes have long necks because that wanted them.... that is crazy, hmmmm i wish i could eat those leaves in the top maybe if i want it really really bad my neck will grow and someday i'll be able to....LOL... no one in their right mind would believe that, also you would have to think that our DNA realized that us humans didn't need all that hair on our bodies any more, only on our genitals and stuff, so lets just cut that out of our genetic code..... it doesn't work that way, never has, never will..... God made us exactly the way He wanted, and out DNA is the same as it was then.... that doesn't mean that there aren't any defects or mutations due to our own interventions (drugs and inbreeding and the like) but genetically our DNA, a dog's DNA, a hippos DNA is all different, and could not change to create something else..... oh yeah, God didn't create us because He is selfish and arrogant, He created us because He wanted somone to love Him, and someone He could love.... just like when we have our own kids..... hmmm doesn't sound like such a bad Guy

I cannot understand why religious people are so against the concept of evolution. At the end of the 11th century, the prolific bible scholar Rashi wrote that the world was created in 7 "godly" days, which could have very well lasted millions of years. Is it so difficult to imagine an omnipotent god who could create a universe of such magnificence that the so-called "freak accident" we call humanity was premeditated, so that the universe would evolve to form stars, then planets, then life, and then intelligent life. Why is god so weak that he had to turn on people like a light switch, and instead couldn't have seen things to come out exactly the way he planned? For that matter, why is there such an issue with the big bang? imagine if the touch of god made the universe. wouldn't the reverberations of this touch last through the ages?
Alternatively, scientists have some issues to deal with themselves. what happened BEFORE the big bang? so all of the matter in the universe was condensed into a single point - where did it come from?
The only way to explain life on earth after the start of the universe is through evolution - all life began as simple single-cell organisms and in the struggle for life and survival evolved into humanity as we know it. Mankind, combined with our creations, will shape what life on earth will look like in a million years - what that is we will not know until it happens. All theories, especially "intelligent design" are based on bogus mathematics, faulty logic and feeble analogies. What happened before the universe began is a question that science as we know it cannot answer. Perhaps our universe is part of a much larger universe - but if so how did that universe begin? But it is possible that something from outside our universe created it with the intention that it would involve in such a way to create man among the cradle of the heavens. Since we don't know (and we can't know at least at this point) the only thing we can do is to combine faith with a curious and open mind.

To answer the question, begin at the roots of the question itself.
"Design" implies a working process, that time after time works almost exactly the same way if and when repeated. Accident does not.
Yet like any accident, design makes things happen according to a strict consequence of cause and effect. Be it natural, or perhaps un- or super-natural. Hardly anybody seems to go this far or even pursue this aspect at all.
The main point of interest however, seems to be whether there is or not, a "sentient" origin from where the process came to be.
What most dont realize, is that the definition of "sentient" comes from within this universe that came to be, whether by design or by accident. So...
My point is... neither can be making much sense, much less 100% sense. At least not to common humans.
And such is GOD. Amen.

My aunt told me before (she's read a bunch of books on the subject) that the probability of the big bang causing the universe to form and all that is the same as the probability of a wind storm tearing through a junk yard and assembling a 747. So, someone creating everything the way it is, or a freak one in a some big huge number random thing? I definitely go with design.

I would say design because that is what I have learned to believe.
Answers in Genesis provide detailed information on why the world was designed and did not happen by chance.
Too bad I cant access my eight page paper on this.

Given those two choices, not just freak accident, but freakin accident
Who would design life? And why? Just to be worshipped? How self-centered is that?

the result of the freak accident is a guy who will make the design

Yeah, our bodies are purely SOOO darn suited, they might desire to have been designed that way! apart from the appendix, which serves little objective and is companies to an infection and rupture which could kill someone. apart from the ovaries, which--somewhat of being at present linked to the fallopian tubes--actual open into the abdomen hollow area, increasing the prospect that ova are lost beforehand they could be fertilized. apart from the finished spinal column, this is purely too at threat of help our weight, ensuing in back discomfort, scoliosis, arthritis, slipped disks, and different bone and joint illnesses. apart from the foot, which particularly must be extra beneficial and have a extra reported arch to assist our weight. apart from the nasal passages, which drain into the back of the throat. What a nuisance! apart from the enamel, that are irreplaceable after the person set falls out (some dinosaurs had enamel that renewed themselves constantly till the animal died). Such imperfections (and a brilliant style of extra) would nicely be defined by potential of the technique of evolution, this is a non-supply up technique ensuing in physique areas changing configuration over the years, each so often turning out to be vestigial in the event that they are no longer necessary. they might't be defined so truthfully by potential of the assumption of a suited writer who, by potential of definition, wouldn't have the potential to offer something this is imperfect or incomplete.

open your eyes, there is too much detail and intricates designs fot it to have happened by chance. Intelegent Design is the only Logical Choice.
I think it stupid to believe every bit of me by chance came from slime, to ape, to man, it like saying to a slug uill be a man in a million or so years!
if it all happened by to bit of matter? colliding in space, who made theat matter, who made the molecule that makes the matter, who made the space that this matter molecule/cell thing transforms into rocks that explode when toching eachother creating this beautiful thng clled earth creating a chain reaction that creates slime that turns in to man...and vairied life forms distincly different from each other!
duuhh... does this sound stupid to you!
Intelegent Design is the only logical idea.
---------
God did not create man exclusively (only reason) to worship him (though partly true), He wanted someone to talk to /love be loved/worshiped back.
