Pour dishwashing liquid and water in fryer and turn it on. Let it simmer for a while and let it sit until it is cool enough to handle. Oil should rinse right out. DO NOT IMMERSE fryer in water and be careful of boiling over. This works great for me.

Poor dishwashing liquid into it and let it sit for awhile. It should come out with no problem. Also, don't wait until you have thick residue at the bottom to wash it. I am assuming that you poor the grease out before you clean it.

I unplug it. pour oil in trash. take paper towel get out residue. put soap and about 1 1/2 cup of hot water and wash. do not sumerse into water but you can run water into it and rince out and use damp sponge to clean outside.

Put it in the fridge til it hardens. Once it's solid, shake/scoop it out into a trash bag.
