Well, there is still a chance that the Braves will win the NL East, every year baseball analyst predict that this is the year that the Braves reign will end but they always prove them wrong. Last season they were struggling but ended up winning the division yet again. However, this season their problems are much deeper than in the past. For one, this is a team that has always relied on their pitching and that is the one area in which they are doing very poorly in. Their bullpen is really shaky it seems that they just can't hold any leads that they are given.

Their team ERA is at 4.83 only the Cubs and Brewers have a worse ERA in the National League. If they are to win the NL East they are going to need some pitching help in particular bullpen help.

The Braves have no chance of making the playoffs. The Mets have finally put it all together, and they are going to take thier division. The Braves can't win the wild card, either, with teams like the Reds and Phillies doing much better than Atlanta. All streaks must come to an end, and it looks like it's time for Atlanta's to come to a halt this year.

They're not going to so here's what I think.

The White Sox are going to end up in third in the AL Central by September because the KC Royals are going to get a large turnaround and place second to Detroit, Detroit will slow down a little after the All Star break, that's when KC will rise up. Yankees and Red Sox will battle it out as they usually do, and Yankees will end up on top, as will the A's. For AL teams in the playoffs, its Detroit, KC (wild card), NYY, and Oakland A's.

NL is going to be different.

Cardinals will get their game back a little before the ASB and will rise ever higher there afterward. Pujols will increase his HR rate as he looks for the HR record.

Mets will be disappointed as Philadelphia pulls into the lead late in August for the NL East, however the Mets will still get the Wild Card.

In the West for the NL, Dodgers...No, Padres...No, but the Rockies will take the lead, but a very close one as the season ends.

So in October, I see Cardinals, Mets( wild card), Phillies, and Rockies in the playoffs.

After that you do the math.

If Mr. Cox can get the braves together and just find a way to win they might. This seasons players just don't have the skills that the past seasons have had. I hope they'll make it but it's really just too hard to tell at this point in the season, they have a lot of games ahead of them.

    GO BRAVES!!!!!!!

I think the reign has finally come to an end. Atlanta in last place is about as big a first half story as Detriot being the best team thus far in MLB.

    You are correct sir.

Not only will they NOT win thier division, or make the wild card, but they will be sitting at home (with the yankees and red sox) crying in thier beers).

it is possible, i hope they can pull it together and make the playoffs but to be honest with you i don't think they will.

in the nl they defintely will. they may not get the division but there is the wild card. as long as bobby and john schuerholz are still there they can still get it done.
