A four year old autistic kid probably does not speak what so ever yet. He also will fixate on one object or sound. Also where the ADHD is hyper and doesn't slow down much the Autistic kid could just stare at something for hours. An ADHD child would most likely talk and talk a lot, the Autistic won't. ADHD child will try to do many things at once and not focus his attention on any one thing for a long time. Autistic child will focus their attention on ONE thing for a long time. They both can act out inappropriately. However the ADHD child would be verbal.
These are just general behavours and symtoms as everyone with both ADHD and Autism are different

I am a special education teacher and a mother of a son with asperger's syndrome (which is in the autistic spectrum), ADHD, and various other disorders. Here are two good websites to help you answer your questions:
www.autism-society.org and www.add.org
Like others have said, each case of autism and ADHD is unique. The only person that can give that diagnosis is a specialist. I took my son to a neuro-psychologist to help us. I would recommend contacting your family physician for guidance. It wasn't until my son was 5 years old that we had gotten answers and we started seeing specialist when he was 3 years old. It's a long process but there are many wonderful support groups out there.

i have a cousin who is autistic and one who has adhd.
Autism is generally worse than adhd, my cousin who has it bites herself and is afraid of getting her hair cut. she cant talk plainly and says it hurts her. she is just afraid because of the razor on the sissors. she is ten years old now, she throws fits and is very very strong considering. my cousin with adhd is just very hyper, cant be still long enough to watch a thirty min movie and is always doing something.

Very introverted, likes routines, doesn't like to interact with people, is very interested in and obsessed with certain things.
Sometimes they are picky about what they eat, finds it hard to follow directions, seems not to listen to you, doesn't make eye contact.
Just off the top of my head I remembered these. Go for further testing.

I work with children with autism. Each one is unique, I don't think I can give you a better answer. I would talk to a Doctor.

Both are sort of vegetable soup, but one( I forget which) has more noodles.
