My Golden Retriever, Harvey, will (hopefully) be 16 this September and is still very healthy (a little arthritic but very healthy!)

Our Rottweiler (Riot) lived to be 16. What an awesome dog he was.
We named him Riot because he was such a clown when he was a baby, we would comment "What a Riot!" and it stuck.

that is quite a feat with a retriever. congrats on the lengthy life. the oldest lab we had was 13 before she got to the point she couldn't get around and had to be carried everywhere. that's when we made the decision to have her put down so she wasn't suffering.

My rescue bull mastiff lived to be 13. We lost him in March. My daughter never remembered life without him. It was tough. I also lost my Saint Bernard mix when he was 14. He was my childhood buddy, and that was really rough on me. I love the giant breeds, but sure wish they lived longer!
