What should I tie on for Trout in the Big Thompson River?
I will be in Estes and staying on the Big Thompson River mid July. Any help would be appreciated. Not a big fly fisherman so you purists go easy on this midwest bass fisher.

you should be using a guide that will help you with your choices. If you weren't planning on using a guide you need to reconsider. I would hate for you to have a bad trip. I am a bass fisherwoman from the midwest myself.

Olive or brown color wooly bugger works good on the White River in Arkansas for big trout.
