What are some good items to sell at a flea maket?

I am trying to raise about $10,000. What are some good ideas to sell at a flea market? I'm trying to think of something a little different than what I usually see. These items are always at the lea market: jewelry, candy, car window tinting, adult videos / toys, clothes, dollar store items, tatoos, hair cuts, fresh veg/fruits, video games, beach towels, & even a scienctology guy selling books! I just want someting a little different. I live in central florida area. Please Help!

If there isn't already a Watkins booth, you could sell Watkins products. I did very well with that because there are 375 products and once people try them, they will definately be back for more. I no longer work the flea markets but when I did, people counted on me. I sold thousands of dollars per month and we were only there 2 days a week. Watkins has been around since 1868 so you get to hear some awesome stories from the old folks as well! If you are out of stock on a particular item, you can always order it and have them come back next week, or just deliver it to them.

Contact me if you are interested.

    Hello,

One thing you can try and if done right you can make alot of money and have fun at the same time. Please take a look into selling personal computers and equipment like printers and networking. This might sound odd but in a flea market setting most people come through there looking for great deals and alot you will find are intrested in technolgy but due to the investment they find them self only intrested and not actually investing in a PC, for this they would love to find a good deal.

My suggestion would be to contact schools and government agencies. These departments usally provide upgrades on a regular basis and you can find awsome deals, then turn around and clean them up to sell them.

    Best of luck.

If you are inside, you could sell candles and candle making supplies. Crafts, tanning lotion indoor/out and also some sunscreens for the tourists that have forgotten theirs. Disposable cameras, packages of aspirin, Tylenol, and over the counter meds for heart-burn. You could also have a nice booth and sell collector baby dolls. The vinyl ones are inexpensive enough that parents will buy them for their children to look at. Paradise Galleries has some really pretty dolls. Just do an Internet search, they have a web site. Good luck!

Like any good shopper at a flea market, I dug around trying to find the BEST answer for you....(the link is to various flea markets in Florida.)

    Sell what you know

    and/or

    Sell what you love

Made sure whatever you sell is clean and attractive and inviting.

And remember it's not the 'steak' you're selling but the sizzle!

(In other words, you can't just stand there and expect people to buy stuff--you have to chat--schmooze--laugh--engage them.)

I helped out a friend at their booth and sold 4 times as much as they did--when asked "How do you know all those people" I could honestly say that I didn't know anyone--but I could talk to everyone who came within earshot.

Also check craigslist.org for cities in your state ---for garage sales, etc One more place to look for ideas!

Well if trying to raise that much try finding something thats easy to get and most people will want to buy. Nothing fitting that description comes to mind but if I can think of it i'll let you know.

Try selling good luck charms and talismans. They cost just about nothing to make and if you get a satisfied clientele, you can make a killing at it.
