Here are step-by-step instructions:
1. Click on "My Q&A" in the upper right of this page.
2. Click on "Edit My Info."
3. Check the "Email Settings" box in the Communications category.
4. Preview and save your new settings.
That's it. You're done.
(If you decide to add and use another email address in the Email section, you will have to find the email sent to your inbox (check your spam/bulk folder also) and click on the link to confirm that you got it.)

i think it is auto enabled as if i go to ur profile i can send an email 2 u. ill c if it works...
