Why are estate lawyers the most evil lawyers?

Why must I be forced to jump though such hoops to get what was left to me?

I don't think estate lawyers are the worst. They basically create the will off of the person's wishes. If you were left less than you thought/wanted that's the person's fault, not the lawyer's. And, if it takes a while to get the $, that is more a function of the goverment regulations & taxes - something the lawyer doesn't control (except to advise their client on how to minimize the taxes).

Wait until someone you love (e.g., mother) gets old and senile and another person (e.g., second husband, sister), gets them to make a will giving it all to them instead of you, even though mom has no idea about what she's signing. Then you might have a clue why estate lawyers are needed to make sure probate laws are not violated.

If you think divorces are messy, you should see what I have seen $ do to people upon the death of a loved one. I suppose you would prefer to shoot it out.

Because their 'client' isn't around to sue them anymore.
