Internet Browsing Toolbar Question?

I use the Firefox Browser with WinDOZE 2000. For my online view, I would like to have (as default) just the Navigation Toolbar on.

However whenever I go to any website, the Bookmark Toolbar opens and the Status Bar opens. Even though I continuously UN-check them, they keep returning.

Is there any way to implement a (semi) permanent close for these items? Thanks.

something u can do to get rid of thoses toolbars is right click and uncheck then, it sounds like u have done that so go to control panel and then add/remove programs and the tool bars will be in there somewhere the prolem with that is that if u have a lot of programs then it may be hard to find the tool bar cause sometimes they are called something way out of wak
