Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I read it when I was six or seven.

When I was growing up, we did not really have any children's books in the house. We read from Childcraft, encyclopedias, & we had a series of books called "I Want to Learn About..." that had three different subjects in them.
So when I finally got a choice to read what I chose I picked Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. It was the most popular book in our library when I was young. I also loved (& still do!) any Dr Seuss book.
There is also an old cartoon book entitled "Nightcrawers" I would go through everytime I went to the library. It had little goth cartoons in it. I saw a copy a few years back at a used bookstore & was going to buy it but someone snatched it up before I could----I was sooo disappointed!

Several books - but the first ones that I actually read as a young girl and enjoyed were: The Black Stallion Series by Walter Farley - The Trixie Belden Series by Kathryn Kenny - The Cay by Theodore Taylor - The Slave Dancer by Paula Fox.
In the 10th grade I did a book report on: In Cold Blood by Truman Capote and that was the 1st "adult" book that I actually read thru and enjoyed.

What to expect while expecting. I have never been one to sit and read a book, but when I got pregnant I couldn't read enough. I liked the book be cause it was kind of like a pregnancy manual. Not only for me but for my husband as well. It tells you every thing you need to know.

Every Second Counts-Lance Armstrong. I started reading books and famous ones from quite a young age but this is the one I love more than anything. Read it yourself, you'll love it too.
