If you're at a concert...?

I'm doing a huge performance soon and have to pick only one song. Would you prefer to hear someone perform something that is slow but vocally impressive or something upbeat and fun? I'm trying to decide between Mariah Carey's We Belong Together and Shakira's Whenever Wherever. Any suggestions?

Update:

For those who asked, it's a singing competition. They had auditions for days and picked the top 20. It's a 4th of July celebration at a marina, so fairly casual, I think.

Update 2:

And I would do the Whenever Wherever chorus in Spanish. =)

It depends on the type of concert. If you're talking about a formal or semi-formal event, then the slower, impressive song is better. If it's casual, than go with the upbeat. When you sing an upbeat song at a formal event, you look disprescpectful, and vice verca, seems over-confident.

Just my experience from 6 years of choir and talent show contests.

Do like that commercial. as quickly as the stay overall performance gets started and you notice incredibly some vacant seats, relatively close to the front (even though because of the fact it rather is the Jonas Brothers, which would be stressful), pass up . once you're tiny then squeeze by way of.

Do you sing each one equally well? Also, what kind of performance? A formal one? If you're setting a tone, go for upbeat. If the crowd needs a pick me up, go upbeat. If you suck at dancing, go slow. If it's formal, go slow.

OK WHAT KIND OF VENUE IS IT

WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE WILL BE THERE

IS IT BLACK TIE OR COME AS YOU ARE

IS IT A DINNER SHOW OR CONCERT SETTING

TAKE THESE THINGS IN TO THOUGHT

THIS COULD BE YOUR BIG BREAK AND YOU WILL HAVE TO CHOOSE YOUR SONG ACCORDING TO EACH OF THE ABOVE

SORRY BUT YOU DID NOT GIVE ENOUGH INFO ON THE VENUE OF WHERE YOUR GOING TO BE SINGING AT

I don't really know either one, but I would go with the more vocally impressive one.
