What happened to the keeper?
In 2002, Oliver Kahn was clearly the best keeper in the tournament. So far, who do you think is in 2006? I dont think anyone has had a stand-out performance so far, at least not for a team thats advanced.

World Cup's not over yet.. So far Ricardo from Portugal has shown great performance. esp. last nite againt Dutch.

I think Kahn's major ego got in the way and that is what got him sitting on the sidelines. Klinsmann probably didn't want to deal with it. Also, I'm not sure how Kahn took to Klinsi's "different....ie .more american" training practices vs. the typical German style that he was use to.
For the record, I think Lehmann is doing a great job.

no- im still surprised that klinsman let lehman take the place of kahn- lehman is not as good as kahn

i like it that he doesnt shout at his defenders, like other keepers do when their defenders failed to stop the ball frm coming to the net.
