I mean , what to do or how to stop myself from fainting?

first of all, u shouldn't have taken up a subject which involves something that u are not able to do.you know what, parents didn't allow me to study medicine for this very reason. but now there is only one way and that is to face it. for you i think u should be courageous and not think that u are dissecting a living being. just focus on what u are going to learn by dissecting the creature.just recollect all that u studied about the creature and view its parts.if u really want to learn something then u have to face all the problems that u encounter and continue the process of learning without moving a step back!
all the best for your studies :)

skip class....or claim that you have moral and ethical issues that prevent you from dissections..
it's a really good learning experience and you should try to make it through it if you can, but passing out with a sharp scalpel in your hand isnt' the answer either...
just don't show up for class, but make sure you do a computer simulation of the dissection (these are available online or as CD-ROM software) so you won't miss anything but the guts and gore.

peace_______________perhaps you could first slice meat, fish(big and bleeding could be good training), prawns, and other dead things that are available. maybe work on a chicken. than graduate to biology class. and get tough, Mr., blades sharp -swipe like a man.

just think it is in the name of science and just think it's no to bad the same thing will happen to you when you die so it is a viscous cycle
