What are the pros and cons of leather seats?

Pros: If anything spills you can clean it right up. It'll freeze your butt on a cold day. Cons:It'll burn your butt on a hot day. It could crack if you don't treat it.

Are Leather Seats Worth It

I think a con is that (depending on where you live I guess), leather seats are so hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. If you're wearing shorts in teh summer, your legs get burned by the seats. They also crack. A pro I guess would be that they're a little easier to keep clean if you spill something on them.

Leather Seats are much more comfortable and are usually softer than typical vehicle seating. In the winter and summer times depending on your area of living they tend to be less comfortable. If you're going for a newer vehicle try and get the luxury of temperature controlled seats if you go with leather. I highly recommend Leather seats due to if you have issues with spills or stains, typically if you protect your leather well enough you won't have any problems with it. (less maintenance)

With leather seats, it is wise to keep them moisturized. Don't use anything containing alcohol. Always use special leather cleaner.

I have leather for the first time. I love it because it is easy to clean and looks good. If its hot and you wear shorts you will stick to the seats. At least I do, maybe I am just weird. I would suggest light colored leather, I have black or "charcoal" and they are pretty hot to sit on. I have tented windows but they get pretty hot.

If you spring for the leather, get heated seats. Now they offer cooled seats, so I have been told.

cons... hot as hell during the summer, you Will burn your lower back if you wearing a tank or something where skin touches the seats and then vice versa, when it is cold, you freeze it is like sitting on a ice block... would recommend heaters in the seats or ac - i beleive they make both

Pros: easier to clean...aesteticaly pleasing...probably more durable than regular seats.

Cons: more expensive...gets hotter than regular fabric seats...

Go for the leather!

If you get it on a cheap car, you'll probably get cheap leather, so after about 25k you'll have all scuff marks on it. Leather looks great, but it also can look horrible if it gets scuffed or worn.

Leather is neat. I like it on used cars in cold weather. On a new car, you will pay $1000-1500 more and in hot weather, its not as comfortable as fabric.

they're hot like hell in the summer! Cold in the winter doesn't really bother me because I'm wearing pants anyway!

The pro's are that it looks awesome and very classy and it's easier to clean, especially if you have allergies!!!
