My computer just keeps freezing at random times during the day; mulitiple times a day. What's causing this?

Update:

I have Norton anti-virus and internet security installed on it. It's a fairly new computer, only about 2 years old.

Update 2:

Each time it freezes I have to restart it over and over again.

It could be a few things actually. Possibilities:

    1) Your computer is overheating and easily fixable by installing another fan into the tower

    2) You have some heavy duty spyware on your computer which is easily fixable by downloading or buying a good anto-spyware program

    3) You have a virus. Run a virus scan immediately, if it doesn't pick up anything, download another one and try it.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to clean out your Cookies folder and your Temporary Internet Files.
