Looking for those with the last name Joynes... anyone done any genealogical research?

There are 1,669 people on the Rootsweb Worldconnect. At the top of each web page is the person who posted the information and their email address. I have contacted several distant cousins who share the same ancestors. Plus check out the message board for obituaries and other information that has been posted from other researchers.

Rootsweb is a free site, ancestry is about $30.00 a month. The other two sites are free, usgenweb is state and county search and the lds is the Latter Day Saints with loads of info.

Based on a surname in my line, I'll bet half of your Joynes people got recorded as "Jones", no matter how many times they said "That's spelled with a 'y'".
