Stephen Hawking who wrote 'A Brief History of Time' a book heralded as one of the best to explain relativity and all that, recently said that if man does not get out into the planets a simple catastrophy such as a meteor hit, super volcano or plague could wipe out all life as we know it.

Designing and building spacecraft, all the research into space and other planets, all takes time and huge sums of money.

Take heart. Look how fast things have progressed from the first manned flight to men standing on the moon. It is all happening a lot faster than you think.

I think we have enough to do and repair on this planet. And we already went to the moon but it seems lonely there, grey and rocky.

Maybe the unknown unreachable planet we constantly wanna go to is what is right under our nose, around the corner, not on some unknown planet. Love

because satellites sent beyond pluto can freeze up and quit working, or get sucked into a black hole. The universe is said to be major- someday better technology will come along and we hopefully will explore outside of the milky way galaxy.
