What is taking the VA so long to approve the Pentacle for veteran's memorials?
Surely it's not rocket science, it should be an open and shut thing. Oh you want a Pentacle for your husband who died in a US military operation, sure, here you go. What's the deal? They put pentacles on dogtags, why not memorials and headstones? Is there something offensive about it? I just don't get it. Should not all of our military men and women be given the same rights, alive or dead? Certainly especially dead!!
Wow DJ, thanks for that link. There's stuff on there I've never even heard of! Really makes me wonder even more!

Hollywood, the Media, and "immature heavy metal death bands" have given folks reason to think it MAY be offensive in some way, be a sign of satan or some such demon, etc.
The Constitution of the United States guarantees freedom of religion and if someone wants to worship whatever, should be not only allowed to but should be respected in that, as long as we aren't talking human sacrifice, etc. Hell, I grew up in New Orleans and had a Voodoo priest next door and respected his right.
Check out my link. It's all the "approved" VA gravestone markers. I learned something here today!

unfortunatelly the gov is just starting to accept paganism and wicca as a religion. it is a start and in the near future they will use a pentacle on tombstones.give it time alot of traditionalists in gov.

The VA takes forever to do anything, espically to give you your perscriptions.
