Firmware 2.7 for the PSP has just been released in Japan. Only thing that is know is that it includes Macromedia Flash player for the browser.
Thanks to the new firmware, people will now be able to download a playable demo of Loco Rocco to their PSP (Hopefully, there will be many more).
For now, it is not recommended to update your PSP if it's not Japanese.
PSPUpdates has 2.70 US for download.
