Fourth of July plans?

We're having family and friends stop by in kind of an open house event. We've cooked up a huge brisket and have lots of finger foods. Everyone who stops by has to sign our huge wall poster about "Why America Rocks." The kids are enjoying doing wall art for the poster, and it creates a memory for us to see where we were at this time each year. We save, them and drag out the old ones year after year. We always end up with things people are thankful for that we are free to enjoy in this great country. We'll watch "Independence Day," play board games, and end up with watching the fireworks over the capital. No fireworks are allowed here because of the draught, so the nation's fireworks will have to do. :)

I did....made it a kick back, stay in my nightie day. Needed it. I didn't want to go out in the heat or be in any crowds. I'm lucky to have a balcony that allowed me to see fireworks at a lake nearby. Saw some beautiful ones and prayed for our men in combat. Tears came to my eyes as I prayed for them because I feel this is such a senseless war. Enough! Bring our men home! Wake up Bush............!

WORK, Maybe bbq before and light some fireworks during the day and the next evening.

We've been chilling on the lake since Friday afternoon ( I had to work today, which sucks, but I'm going back as soon as I get off). We've been bbq'n tri-tip, shrimp, hotdogs, and drinking our butts off.
