Why does Toronto suck?

It sucks to keep Ontario from drifting into Hudson Bay.

If Toronto sucks, it's because of a problem with the whole Canadian system which reinforces poverty and leaves homeless guys pissing on my wall and in my alley.

Can someone get them to stop that please?

And then those idiots give money to the guys walking down the middle of the street begging cause they feel bad for them. They're already making money, they don't need yours. Maybe if you'd stop giving them money, they'd stop spraying your windshield with dirty water.

Oh, and the Leafs suck cause they have very few real fans. It's a shame.

And it's far too easy to culturally assimilate here. There's no real diversity or ethnic retention. Any visually perceived ethnic retention is just an attempt to bring in money from the matrix group to help impoverished people. Everyone just becomes Torontonian, just in different colours. The whole mosaic thing is a farce. It's practically impossible to structurally assimilate. It's a vertical mosaic where immigrants reach a ceiling and then can't get any better jobs. In addition to reinforcing poverty, it reinforces a dual labor market leaving a huge percent of the population disgruntled.

Oh, and the people dart out into the middle of the street like they couldn't be damaged by massive metal vehicles traveling at high speeds.

And the lake shore looks like a dump.

There's also no real high culture or subcultures here.. so as soon as people think they've created something somewhat resembling either, they become elitist because there's no one else there to knock them off their pedestals.

On top of all of that, liquor is far too expensive to drink enough to ignore all the problems.

So, I think that answers why Toronto sucks.

and sport teams from toronto, for instance the ice hockey team, the toronto maple leafs, don't suck either. the maple leafs are a brilliant team with some very, very good players!

You think the U>N> is in New York, think again. Toronto is the real live U.N. So many people from so many places., and for the most part each sticking to their own people leading to distrust and fear of each other religion or nationality. TOO BAD. Big dogs and little dogs can get along and it doesn't matter if they are black, white or brown. Why can't people be more like dogs or cats in getting along with each other.

Toronto is one of the most ethnic cities in Canada. It is a great place to visit, lots to see and do. I bet you were on the Blue Jay bandwagon when they were the class of base ball. As for the hockey they are getting better they are getting younger and faster. I'm not from Ontario, I am from Canada, and proud of it. Where are you from??????

The media portray it as the Centre of the Universe. It's not even a bad New York. Don't even get me started about Make Belief fans or the crap that passes for Canadian content music or TV shows that fly out of T.O.

Sorry, but being from vancouver we have a built-in hatred for all things Leafy from T.O.

because toronto is compared with montreal (the best city in canada, Poor toronto). There is no nightlife and the toronto maple leafs (who suck) represent them for hockey! hahaha

Mind over matter. Toronto doesn't mind the rest of Canada crapping on them, because to Toronto, the rest of Canada doesn't matter.

I didn't know it did! (I went to Calgary & it was ok.) You should try living in the UK, I went to London & it really sucks. It's a filthy dump, full of people who talk funny & need a life, & it doesn't have a (proper) hockey team (like the rest of the UK) I wish i was Canadian (or a Canadien even) I'm sick of being English but I'm too old to emigrate!

Sorry you feel that way. I think it rocks. There is so much to see and do and so multi cultural, pick a food group and there it is. And there is a lot of freebies also and the gas is faily cheap considering other places I've been to lately.
