Does Russia acknowledge a 13th floor in high rises, or just skip the number?

There are 13th floors, seats number 13 etc. Many people in Russia do believe that this is bad luck. One exception - people in Russia don't give the even number of flowers (except at the funerals). So giving 13 flowers can be marginally better than giving 12 flowers.

I have lived in 3 apartments since my birth in Russia. They were 13, 113 and 13 - no kidding. I always thought of this number as my lucky number.

now I live in toronto, canada, and my apartment number is 214, but really it is 213 because of the skipping. I don't know why people here freak out with number 13

    I'm from Russia.

Most of our buildings have 13th floor. We have no fear of this number.
