Baconian method was developed by Francis Bacon as an early scientific method. The method suggested that a scientist start with specific information about what they wished to study and use experiments to find more general theories and data.

If you are talking about the Baconian Method of scientific inquirey (and not cooking or acting) then it is exactly the opposite of the Scientific Method.
In the scientific method, you develop a theory about what might happen when the evidence is examined, and the theory changes depending on the evidence.
In the Baconian Method, you decide ahead of time how something works, then try to make the evidence prove it.
His method is called induction, as opposed to the deductive method used by other scientists.

The Baconian Method is actually the method of acting used by Kevin Bacon and has been adopted by many others in the acting field since it's inception.
