Easy, peasy. We've done it. Go buy a motorbike and ride it to the UK. OK, you have to tell the seller it's for export then you can either pay the foreign VAT and claim it back from the seller once you pay UK VAT or don't pay foreign VAT and pay UK VAT when bike is registered (depending on seller, he might choose first option as it involves less paperwork for him).
You can ride the bike back to UK without plates by the shortest route but must register the bike asap before you can take it out again or register it before you go pick it up (certain info is required - check with local DVLA office).
Depending on time of day, there is a VAT office in Dover for just such occasions but you have to have cash on you as they don't accept cheques or credit cards - only a bankers draft.
Hope this puts you in the right direction, with the money we saved we bought all our gear (x2).
Good luck

those motorcycles are literally not solid buys. For the money you pick to spend and nonetheless get a superb bike seem at Kymco and Hyosung they make a one hundred twenty 5 it really is not right here contained in the states. i'm not particular the position you're and don't understand the substitute cost money to kilos. those manufacturers are more cost-effective than the large eastern motor agencies and merely as solid. they are not from china.

Most European bike dealers will do the work for you. Mate of mine bought a Ducati direct from the factory as he wished to fly over and ride it back. Ducati did all the work for him, he got picked up from the airport by ducati, wined and dined then sent on his way with a pre-ran in bike. Nearly all euro dealers will sort it out for you and it will be cheaper in most cases. Failing that there are parallel importers over here such as D&K bikes in Newcastle under lyme (staffs) and nightingales of rugby do imports to. Do your homework as a lot of people will do the paperwork for you.

I really don't know the cost but My Son-in-Law was over-seas in the Army and he said he was going to bring his car there until he found out it was going to cost him more than buying another car
