According to the Bible, how many pearly gates are there?

Revelation 21:21 And the twelve gates are twelve pearls – each one of the gates is made from just one pearl! The55 main street56 of the city is pure gold, like transparent glass.

Well I'm no expert but I don't recall any mention of "pearly gates" in the bible. I have heard it said that the only way to heaven is through God so I'd say in a spiritual sence that would mean he's the only gate so the answer would be one. A guy I work with is very into Kenneth Copeland, and Copeland gave a serman in which he said Heaven had a North, South, East and West gate...but I think he was just saying that to make a point.
