Do young people realize that people on reality TV shows are just playing to the camera?

From listening to people, I get the impression that the younger the viewers, the more more they believe the shows are real.

Most adults realize that the shows' producers choose people who are more outrageous, plus the 'contestants' are playing to the camera, like the exhibitionists they are.

i don't really believe that reality TV is so much as scripted, but i do know the events that take place are highly dramatized. Also, a lot of parts are cut and edited, so things aren't always what they appear to be. I glad that u have a genuine concern for the youngsters of today. ;-)

Yes! I know. Its a waste of time to watch such reality shows especially here in the US! European reality shows are much much better but still not great.

Yea, I guess it's just by luck that majority of all the people they put on relaity TV looks like aspiring models or actors. Very well groomed. Oh well, whatever sales.

You propose like that actuality teach, "Oh Brother" ?? Yeah, i imagine that would force me loopy. yet why interior the international would they need to observe me 24/7? i'd probably bore the visitors to tears in simple terms the first hour. Surly they doesn't be gazing me all that factor because they idea i become warm or something. nicely... perhaps.

I totally agree. I don't think a lot of people realize this, even older adults. Kind of like some people that get into 'wrestling'...hehe

my peers take those reality shows for granted... but i doubt some people know reality shows aren't actually reality.

You are correct. There is no such thing as reality tv.

I hope so. It's so obvious and partly scripted. But hey, it does make for entertaining tv!
