what is the tab bar for?

It's for when you don't have any money and the place lets you put all your drinks on credit but only if you are a good drunk and you promise to pay the bill later- like you promise that you will pay up some day soon when you are sober (or at least a little less drunk). Uh What? What? Tab bar? TAB BAR? Oh. Mybad. Sorry. I thought you said BAR TAB. Nevermind. I have absolutely NO idea what a tab bar is for. Anyway, I gotta run and get back to what I was doing. HEY! Can you put this drink on my BAR TAB sir??? Thanks!

the question is not clear. I am talking about Visual asic tab bar. The tab bar is used in so many applications so that more controls can be placed in a single form.thus its easy for us to develop applications. You can get tabbed control by Project Menu -> Components -> Microsoft tabbed Contol. Its also there in Project-> Components-> Microsoft Windows Common contol 2 6.0 library

depends on what application you are talking about.

in general, tabs are used to enable you to navigate quickly between pages of an application by selecting the tab to bring the selected page to the front.

in a web browser, like Firefox, or IE7, the tab bar is used to allow you to have multiple web pages open simultaneously, and to switch back and forth between the pages quickly using the tabs.

so you can open multiple websites without having like 10 windows open
