The Catholic Church has been and always will be for Peace.
Pope Benedict's (Joseph Ratzinger) youthful years were not easy. His faith and the education received at home prepared him for the harsh experience of those years during which the Nazi regime pursued a hostile attitude towards the Catholic Church. The young Joseph saw how some Nazis beat the Parish Priest before the celebration of Mass.
It was precisely during that complex situation that he discovered the beauty and truth of faith in Christ; fundamental for this was his family’s attitude, who always gave a clear witness of goodness and hope, rooted in a convinced attachment to the Church.

Do you think that every draftee in the Nazi German Army was a Nazi? If you do then you are very naive.
Just hope and pray that you do not have to make a decision to live and fight for a government you do not believe in or be executed.
Do you believe that every German citizen was guilty of the holocaust. Even if they could do something about it, most did not even learn about the "final solution" until the war was over.
I know of some US soldiers that joined up eagerly to fight in Afghanistan after the World Trade Center attack. But now they have to fight in Iraq, a war that they do not think is just.
You and I live in a very different world that the Pope did in 1940s Germany. I suggest you do not be so quick to judge others.
With love in Christ.

He never served he was forced to join as many young men were. I do not believe the Catholic Church goes against peace and love. Have you ever lived in a country that said you must join this group or loose your freedom? Until you have walked a mile in an-others shoes you have no right to judge him."

As the catholic church in general stood by and did nothing in WW2, and arguably supported the Nazi state it is not surprising.
The Catholic Church, and probably by extension all organized religion is anti-christian, in that it cannot follow the most basic tenants of the teaching it follows.
Love thy fellow man; does not mean, kill, murder, torture to get him to follow the carpenter of Nazareth.
Love thy fellow man; does not mean condone the systematic abuse of children in your care.
Love thy fellow man; does not mean condemn a large proportion of the world to poverty through an adherence to dogma.
Did you really expect better? There will never be any peace in this world until the last politician is hanged using the entrails of the last priest.

Totally, full of hypocrisy!
They are the bloodiest church in the history of civilization! Don't be surprised if they start gathering their long lost sister churches together to try and convert the masses again.
They'll call for peace and love, but it is a cover up for mass murder and forceful worship of their paganistic 'religion'.

The Catholic Church is full of contradictions. I'm Roman Catholic and will never change religion, I believe in the sacraments, Communion, Baptism, Marriage etc, but I don't agree with all their teachings e.g about contraception, gays, divorce etc.

In the Third Reich being one of Hitler's-Jungen was expected. In fact, not being one may have seemed odd and anti-German. There are plenty of other examples that could be cited to show the Church's hypocrisy beyond this.

what you're not witnessing is that the vatican state is going through a "cultural revolution" the priests there have just discovered hellucinagines, eastern spirituality and a new kind of music that is pushing the city state to call for peace and love around the world.
Their priorities have changed dramatically.

It's still funny how many fell to the blades during the crucades. Who funded that by the way? Oh yeah.
You do remember to that a priest in romainia brought back crucifiction right?

There is no god but Allah, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the messenger of Allah.
Quran is the last and final Holy Book revealed on Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by Allah.
note: In Arabic its is prefered to say Allah, instead of God
