Well there's always people who are gonna answer "Go to SUPER 8" or "RADISSON is great", etc etc. But understand that they are basing their recommendations on their preferences, not yours.(I am Owner of a Travel Agency). Having said that, there are some basic criteria that are important:
1-Your Travel Budget?
2-How many nights?
3-How many people going, other than yourself?
4-Amenities very important to you?
5-Dates of checkin/checkout?
Minor details to be sure but they're very important in that they really help you find a place that will not disappoint you on any level. And I can tell you right now that there's LOTS of fine accomodations in the Virginia Beach, VA area.
But again, that's why those questions are important--to separate the good establishments from the mediocre ones.
