It's exciting for them! They're close to their owner and enjoy a change same as we all do! Having said that ... My dog (Pic) will only agree to travel on the passnger seat (Harness and safety belt of course) while my other one likes to sprawl on the back seat! Anyone wanting a lift ... Back seat!

My dog doesn't- but some dogs do because 1) they can be with you in an enclosed space and can feel more intimate with you 2) they are coming with you on a Big Important Mission such as to the bank or McDonalds or 3) they can stick their noses out the window and smell all the smells.

Well, I don't think all dogs love cars. But, mine loves riding in the car. I think some dogs love looking out the window. If my dog can't see out the window he wines.

i feel dogs love traveling in cars as it is excitement the world flashes past the windows, think about how excirting it was when you were really young, it is like an adventure.

I think my dog loves going for car rides because the destination is usually somewhere fun, like to see family.

Mine love it because they know they're going to someones house that they love.. or they're going for a walk in the park and treats at the pet store. Very rarely do they realize that they are going to the vet.
Mine also love putting their head out the window and barking at anything that moves.

Simple pleasures that we take for granted. A ride, A walk, food, just being with someone we love.. You've got to love dogs...Humans could learn a lot from them...

Because they get bored indoors. They also like to smell the air from the air flow, it's like reading a newspaper for dogs.

Because it's faster than walking, it saves their legs and they can stick their head out of the window and catch the breeze. Why don't you ask a dog next time you see one? I'm sure they'll tell you the same thing. :-)

Cos they can wind the window down ,stick their head out and hang their tongue in the breeze.. plus they get to go faster than their dog mates and everyone waves at them
obvious isn't it?
