I gained 40 pds after bein w/my BF for 2 year. So did he...LOL..we go to the gym 2gether ? else can I do?

We go to the gym together 3x a week...we both proned to being overweight..how can we help each other to slim down...he's very stubborn and so am I...is there a diet or meal plan we can get on together?

    diet plan

    eat every 2 hours

    eat 1000 calories a day no less

    workout 3 or more hours a day 6 days a week

    eat no more than 20 grams of fat and eat lots of fiber

    also some diet tips

    eat slow

    do not eat after 7:00pm

    work out 20 min before meals and workout after meals

    diet foods: plain grilld chiken, plain grilld fish, shrimp, fruits, veggies

    good workouts : walking!!!, runing, swimming, cardio, yoga,

    I was in your exact situation not too long ago. I managed to shed quite a bit of fat over a period of 6 months.

    You are on the right track! Going to the gym is a good way to lose weight in a healthy way.

    Will Power

    It is not easy; and there is no (healthy) quick way to lose weight. You may anticipate losing a few pounds in your first 2 weeks in the gym. That is usually the weight of the water. But keep doing it. Don't cut corners in the training. Determine to finish 30 minutes of Cardio exercises (Treadmill, stepper, cycle). Then various stretching and muscle toning on the machines. In total, you need to allocate 2 hours in the gym. 3 times a week is good.

    Get a professional trainer

    A good trainer will get your body weight down 2 times faster if you do it on your own. The trainers will teach you the correct way of exercising so that you don't hurt yourself during the gym session.

    Eat properly

    I don;t know about others, I eat like everyone else during my weight loss program. All I did was to cut down on sugar intake. I used less oil and salt in my cooking.

    Most important of all, I did not stuff my stomach on every meal. I call it 80% full. Use this motto: "I eat so that I am not hungry, not to be full" and "Always feel good to leave food on the plate"

    You seem to have a optimistic personality. Use this to encourage your partner and yourself to persist in the weight loss program.

    Forget about target dates and how many pounds to lose, just enjoy the process. If you take this as a mission, then you will need more will power to get through. Not many of us has the quality though....

    It's in the mind...Change the perspective and everything is different.

    The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

    *4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

    *5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”.
