can oil cause cancer?
I work in a oil changing place with my husband and he says if the oil get's in my pores it can cause cancer is that true, I have tried to reseach it but nothing gives me a stright answer.

Some governmental jurisdictions classify used motor oil as hazardous. It may contain additives (e.g. rust inhibitors), contaminants (e.g. heavy metals generated through engine wear, or externally introduced materials such as PCBs from old transformer oils), potentially carcinogenic, polycyclic, aromatic compounds (from the fuel combustion process), or glycol leaked from the cooling system. Because of these "impurities," used motor oil should be handled with care and disposed of correctly to ensure the safety of the local community, environment and waterways.

I recall reading something about motor oil being linked to cancer, try reading the label on the motor oil bottles. Below is a link to an article that links the possibility of rheumatoid arthiritis to increased exposure to motor oil. Granted a different topic, but something you might find interesting.

That's the same with everything else; I'd be more concerned about the carbon- monoxide fumes.
