You can have a cell that contains what looks like a hyperlink and plain text, but the cell is the hyperlink in Excel, not the text. So the answer is actually no.

You can have a hyperlink and plain text in the same cell - just type in the hyperlink first, then instead of typing into the cell directly, go to the formula bar, type in some spaces after the link and then type in the plain text. In order to change the appearance of the text, you can format it to be black and not underlined. All this you will have to do by selecting the text in the formula bar and not in the cell.
Clicking on the cell will still continue to open the hyperlink.

1. Go to A1 (or the Cell you want to insert your Hyperlink)
2. Type the name of the hyperlink in plain text (i.e. MyLink)
3. Right click on the cell A1 or the cell you typed the plain text in
4. Choose Hyperlink
5. Enter the address of the hyperlink and click OK

Plus, Microsoft 2003 Excel will automatically make anything with a www into a hyperlink.
