Who was the last American Leaguer to win the Triple crown, and who was the National?

I think the National was Reberto Clementa and the American was Carl Yastremski, am I right?

Yaz and Medwick are correct.. Yaz did it in 67, Frank Robinson did it in 66 with the Orioles... In 1968, none of us thought we'd never see another triple crown winner, seemed like it was happening all the time!

To answer a previous post's question, Ty Cobb won the triple crown, Babe Ruth never did...

Ruth won one batting title, hitting .378 in 1924, but never led the league in HR, RBI and Batting Average in the same season...

Ruth finished 2nd in batting in 1923 with a .393 average, and also led the league in HR and RBI (41 and 131), but Tiger Hall of Famer Harry Heilmann hit .403 in 1923, beating out Ruth for the batting title by 10 points...

Yaz in the AL, Joe Medwick in the NL. Here's a list:

Clemente never hit more than 30 homers, so he wasn't a triple crown threat.

Well you got the answer (easy); try this...who won more triple crowns, Ty Cobb or Babe Ruth?
