How do some people get more than 10000 points in Yahoo! Answers?

It is due to many reasons like dedication. perseverance about their participation on yahoo answers, availability of time with them, their wish to get featured on yahoo answer's blog page, their helping attitude, and above all they seem to be financially stable and socially secured. So, all these make them keep on participating on yahoo answers continuously which leads them to level 7 and get more points.

I would imagine that most of those you mention with over 100,000 points were here from the beginning, and there was a lot less competition then. Also from what I've read, back then you got points for asking questions as well as answering. I don't believe those people have any need to strike deals with other answerer's to obtain best Answers I think they've just learned what constitutes a good answer. if you check their answers none of them use 'I don't know' or yes and no replies, which should never be awarded Best Answer anyway, but sometimes are.

I think that most people who have a lot of points move slowly, answering questions sporadically over a long period of time. They don't waste too much time on Yahoo! Answers.

However, I am sure that there are some folks out there who dedicate their lives to moving up the Yahoo! ladder as quickly as they can. Those people do need to get a life.

if you can answer around 20 Question in a day then after a while you will found you'r self with the 10000 points

Most of them answer in the catogories that their really knowledgable about, like crafts, home repair, stuff like that.

if you start out few months ago and have a lot of best answers, doesnt take long to gain levels w/ voting , rating,etc.. gotta know how to " shave points " lol

They use cheats to do it.

Cheats like making a deal with someone to answer all their questions and give them best answers.

No, but I think they could be silent writers doing this for hobby.
