Nothing smothered in cheese or chile sauce.
Try a grilled chicken taco or fajitas. Don't eat the tortillas or the sour cream. The guacamole is high in fat, but it's good for you, so you can probably eat a little.
Or get a grilled chicken salad. But if it is served in the fried tortilla bowl, don't eat that. And don't smother it with salad dressing - that will ruin the diet. Just dip lightly into dressing on the side.

Soft tacos on plain steamed corn tortillas, made with just a little char-broiled chicken or fish (not deep fried fish!), lettuce or cabbage, good fresh salsa, and fresh lime to squeeze over the top. Skip the cheese, skip the sour cream, skip the rice and refried beans. A little fresh avocado in moderation is good for you. If you need a little more to fill you up, see if you can get a small side order of plain pinto or black beans cooked without lard.
Or you could also go Mexican salad with lots of greens and fresh veggies, lean broiled chicken or fish, avocado and fresh salsa. Just don't let them serve it to you in a fried shell with an inch of refried beans on the bottom and a ton of sour cream or fatty mayo-based dressing on top. If you can't get plain olive oil and vinegar for dressing, just use lots of lime juice.

If you try to eat low cal at a real Mexican restaurant, you will be miserable.
The cheeses, the refried beans, sour cream and guacamole, the tortillas cooked in lard...I could go on and on!
But I digress...a grilled chicken burrito with rice, lettuce and tomoatos, no beans, creams or sauces.
I'm going to Campos now.

Depending on how they were cooked, fajitas are generally one of the lowest fat mexican foods that I know. The other advantage is that they are delecious.
Enjoy it anyway.

ceviche or any type of seafood prepared mexican style. Ceviche has shrimp or fish and lots of tomatoes, onions, cilantro and lemon juice in it eat it by itself instead of eating it with tostadas and you'll be eating as healthy as you can.
