Bush said the "s-word" today! What do you think?

Oh how hilarious, Your question had me rolling, that was so funny. I didn't watch it, so wished I had. It's probably been said alot lately around the world. But you just have to see where He's coming from with that statement. I've learned recently that Hezbollah is a terroristic group, they're saying bring on WW3, and the U.S. is their next target. Just by the fact that their terrorists, tells me there's nothing to negotiate with. Death ,Destruction, how do you get peaceful solutions out of those kinds of things. So I'd say that one word wouldn't make a bit of difference.

Kind of funny, that when people think of Bush, that little 4 letter word comes to mind.

The Post Turtle

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year-old Texas rancher, whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.

Eventually, the topic got around to former Texas Governor George W. Bush and his elevation to the White House.

The old Texan said, "Well, ya know, Bush is a 'post turtle'."

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was.

The old rancher said, "When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle."

The old man saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain, "You know, he didn't get there by himself, he doesn't belong there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, and you just want to help the dumb s_h_i_t get down!"

It showed he is just a normal guy at the end of the day. The hoo haa that has gone on is ridiculous, S**t is not a bad word, acceptable to most so whats the big deal, how many times does Mr/Ms Average use it each day? Even my mother who is almost 70 uses it, especially when describing my father !!

I say good on him,, Hooray. it actually shows that he's normal, dont you ever say the "S" word,,lol,.. and who really gives a sh#t about the middle east ? I dont , they been at war for over 3000 years and it wont stop now, if it was up to me I would nuke the middle east, nuke Korea, Indonesia, and all those sh#t countries, thats the only way we will have peace, Bush should do more but its all the so called do gooders in the world that stop us from having peace, we Kull animals, we kill and go after sharks and crocs if one idiot gets eatin in their own habitat, we should do the same in out own world, get rid of religious extremists and all these head bangin Allah idiots that kill in the name of God. Geeezzz,, dont start me.

I think that most adults are not so fascinated with our fear of the Anglo-Saxon language and it's remnents in our own form of English. It's mostly United States citizens with a political agenda (like those who got all upset over President Clinton's personal life) that make a stink over such things.

It's silly. It's like a child in the classroom yelling to the teacher, "He farted!". It's rather juvenile, and really is more damaging to the world's view of us that the word itself.

I can see other countries wondering why we get all upset over a word, not knowing our linguistic history, and our taboos over using such words. It's rather sad that so many of us don't realize just how local our concern over such words is, and how such words are not an issue in the rest of the world.

It might help you see the rest of the nations as something more than "primitive" and "uncivilized" when they use such language when you realize that it is our hang-up, and has nothing to do with how their language has developed.

isnt bush acting like bush what got him elected in the first place. with his language and all his slip ups he looks like an average american. thats the reason for his popularity.

whats really funny though is that his hardcore followers the right wing christian conservatives will be OK with using this word from now on.

Truman swore in public, and I think it shows that Bush isn't hiding anything from us. If he's stupid enough to say the S word on TV, there's no way he's smart enough to try to trick and lie to us like people are saying.

I'm just counting the days until this imbecile is out of the White House and I can get used to making fun of a new president.

Nah, it won't impact negotiations. Just another thing to make fun of. His stance behind Israel has a much larger impact.

I thought it was freakin hilarious! I don't like Bush, but after that I had this weird respect for him. It was just so honest, which is really something we don't get enough of from him.
