Have you ever noticed that Coke in a can tastes different from Coke out of a fountain?

Why does Coke from a fountain taste different from Coke in can. And why does Coke in a 2L bottle taste different from Coke in a can and from a fountain. And why does Coke from a 591mL bottle taste different from Coke in a 2L bottle. WHY WHY WHY!??!

I personally prefer Coke from a fountain.

Because when it's in the can, the cola syrup and carbonated water are already combined. In a fountain, there are 3 hoses. One comes from a large cyclinder full of syrup, another to a CO2 canister, and the last comes from a water line. When you push the magic button, it draws from each line according to the valve setting for each hose. Lots of places will add more water, as it is cheaper than the syrup canisters.

Fountain Coke is the best!!! I used to love to go to Three River's Stadium to see the Pirates play, but the best part was the fountain Coke!! I think it has something to do with the amount of syrup they use, and the fact the it's mixed with fresh ice cold soda water!! I personally hate coke or diet coke these days, in a 2 Litre bottle. Something about the plastic bottle doesn't do the pop justice!!

Between coke in a can , plastic , fountain , and glass.

Coke in a can has a slight metallic taste do to the fact it is aluminum.

Coke in a plastic bottle has a slight bland flavor because it is in plastic.

Coke from a fountain can be good , If the city or town had a good source of water. If local water tastes bad then coke tastes bad.

But coke in a bottle that wonderful green protective glass , now there is my coke .......perfect.

I totally agree. They use different sugars for preservation reasons. Fountain Coke is the best. Especially with crushed ice.

I don't know why it tastes better from the fountain, but McDonalds has THE BEST coke EVER.

of direction. there is not any longer thank you to foretell if the carbonated water and the syrup are going to blend flippantly every time. The canned Coke is monitored greater heavily. the different concern is the fountains are no longer wiped clean as frequently as they'd desire to be in eating places and convenience shops. i in my opinion does not touch the stuff out of a fountain.

Just like coke off a mirror with a rolled up $100 bill tastes different than coke off a hooker's @$$ with a $1 bill...

    It's been that way forever.

I never drink it from a can

If you can't find a fountain try to find glass bottled Coke

my husband would agree with you. He likes it from the fountain. I prefer a can. Funny, huh?

because the syrup is more concentrated out of the fountain.
