Have you ever noticed that while the click it or ticket campaign is on everyone gets stopped.?

But once their campaign is over no one gets pulled over for not wearing their seat belt. This last campaign my husband and I got pulled over 4 times and he has a note from the doctor to not have to wear a seat belt. I say no fair, It proves they are targeted and that it is. We were never once asked for proof of insurance. But one officer told us that they are supposed to issue 3 tickets ever ten minutes. Some campaign.Where is the freedom going

Update:

This was not intended to bash law enforcement. I know they have a tough job and some of them do a fine job. Like anything else there are always bad eggs in the bunch. It is more the irony as to the campaigns they carry on with than anything else.

Hey I'm in MO, and I think it's BS, but Webster County has DWI checkpoints which are even better than the click it or ticket. They set up a checkpoint, and make sure everyone has a drivers license, proof of insurance. But, if you look poor, you're subjuct to being removed form your car, having your car searched and your person searched, I thought some where under the bill of rights we were protected from wrongful search and siezure? This happened here and no one does anything because they are afraid of the cops and with very good reason. I just want to know when the protection is handed to the public, because I haven't seen any in three years.

That's insane. It's a quota. It's not like they care for the safety of people on the roads, it's all just about the quota. Ridiculous.

Personally, I always wear my seatbelt and always will. It saved my life about 20 years ago. Without it I would have been thrown out the window and gone head first into a house.

I have never been pulled over during a Click it or Ticket campaign. And they can't just pull you over for not wearing a seat belt. They have to have a legitimate reason to pull you over (ex/ speeding, burnt out lights, etc...) and then if you aren't wearing a seat belt they can ticket you.
