Is there another way to uninstall a program that was downloaded other than add/remove programs?

Attempts at removing program are not successful. Seems to be in some sort of stealth mode. This is a company-required pc monitoring program that tracts all keystrokes, site visits, etc. Any help much appreciated.

I used to disable the screen capture program that a company I worked for used to track quality on customer contacts. Why did I do it? Because when it activated (It randomly activated) it slowed my computer down to the un-usable level. I refused to have broken software slowing down my performance.

I looked at the program in the task manager list that was causing the performance drain, did a search for the file and first removed it from the start up, then deleted it off the computer.

If you are good with computers there are two places that you don't see the start up files that are running upon bootup. And that is the registry.

Don't mess with the registry if you have no clue what you're doing!

To get to the registry type in start > run > regedit

After you get into the registry look for the tracking program executable in the paths given by the website below.

All you have to do is delete the entry containing it's name, and then close the registry.

Restart your system and it should no longer be loaded and then you should be able to delete the files.

You can delete the files it uses, but that might make some annoying error messages. Could also try browsing to its folder and seeing if there's an uninstall program.

Search Google and see if there's a program that will remove it properly.

If you run the setup program again, it'll give you options of repairing, removing or modifying the application. It works for most applications.
