Why did Mic Foley turn heel?

The reason behind his heel turn is becuase with the upcoming ECW pay per view , Mick felt it was his duty to defend the WWE's honour, thats why he inserted Tommy Dreamer into his rematch with Edge only to turn on him and brutally attack him, since Dreamer was the heart and soul of ECW.

Why he still remains a heel is still a mystery, in my opinion it's becuase he has been verbally feuding with Flair for god knows how long, and the fans obviously respect Flair more than Foley.

I think it's because the current audiences are never going to boo Ric Flair no matter what he does. They're setting up a Ric/Foley feud - there's gonna be a rematch, count on it - and Foley had to turn heel to actually build up some momentum in the feud. Face/face feuds are kind of uninteresting.

The character, I have no idea. It seems they came up with what could laughingly be called an angle just to give him some work. There is no coherence to his involvement. He usually only shows up to lose on wrestlemania. I don't know their line of thinking on Ric Flair either. I only watch lately to see if it gets better because right now it really sucks

Mick was getting a little tiered of his gimmick. he thought he needed a change. so he pulled a holywood hogan and went heel, now he is getting some awsome heel heat, and they are really doing a good job letting Mick do his own lines cuz he puts so much emotion into it. i dont think it will last long cuz i loved his speech to Flair, made me cheer him on. Ric's comeback sucked in my opinion. good try though sense it was shoot.

Good question. I think it was because of his feud with Edge.

Cause he's no good for anything else.
