Do you have adult ADHD and it almost ruined your life?
I am looking for validation, through other personal experiences with ADHD, that it can turn someone's life upside down. i WOULD LOVE TO HEAR SOMEONE ELSE'S STORY AND ALSO SHARE MINE.

Do you mean ruin your life by causing your boss to lay you off from an upper level management job after 13 years? Or ruin your life because you forgot to close the front door and your best friend (my dog) gets out and disappears? Perhaps you mean ruin your life because your mind is moving so fast you can't remember to put anything away, so you spend ALL of your free time picking up crap. Or maybe you mean ruin your life because the love of your lifetime leaves you because she thinks you don't care because you are never on time. Oh, I know. You must mean ruin your life because your family and friends don't look forward to seeing you or don't include you because they know you will lose your car keys, wallet, planner, shoes, and keys (2nd time)before getting out of the house and show up 2 hours late for dinner. Wait, I know what you mean. You mean have a constable show up at your door with a warrant for your arrest because your mind was going so fast you forgot to deal with the f...ing traffic ticket that fat donut eater gave you when he caught you speeding to another missed appointment. The Grand daddy of them all. Since the government thinks Adult ADD is a farse and an excuse for people to use amphedamines to "get high", they chose to have a doctor tell you when you can have your medicine. You see the problem is that doctors only work partial weeks - never holidays - never weekends. Since big brother has put so many obstacles in the way of someone with ADD getting medicine, you don't have access to the medicine you need when you run out . - Everybodys advice is "Plan ahead!" - That is the most ignorant advice I have ever heard. How the hell am I going to plan ahead for a damn prescription, for the medicine I need to function, when I can't even remember where I laid down my damn car keys. Stupid asses.
Yes, I believe I know what you mean about ADD ruining your life
The best advice I can give someone who truly has Adult ADD is 1. DON'T TAKE ADVISE FROM SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE ADD. I don't care if it is the President of the United States or an MD with 9 plaques on the wall. If they don't have ADD, they don't know what in the Hell they are talking about. They will run you into the ground. 2. This next advice is not for the dope heads or the wannabees. If you are a true victim of Adult ADD, listen to this advice from someone who knows:
Counceling, diet, and self help books are all worthless. there is one thing that helps ADD, and that is Ritalin (or a similar amphedamine or methamphedamine). Don't let government control keep you from living a normal life. If you have a problem getting the medicine you need, plan a trip to Mexico. Buy a year's supply at a time. The pharmacists in Mexico will help you get it back across the border. Do some networking at your local church to find a Mexican Native you can trust. Find out from the person which pharmacy to go to in Mexico (price, quality, assistance from the pharmacist) American pharmacists have an attitude that they are the adult and you are the child. The treat you like you are incapable of determining that you need your medicine. Mexican pharmacists actually want to help and they help you safely get home with the medicine you need. If you develop a relationship with a pharmacist, there is a good chance they will begin bringing it across for you on your return trips. They know you need your medicine to live a normal life and they will help you get it across safely.
IF YOU PLAY BY THE Fed's RULES, YOU WILL END UP LOSING ALL THAT YOU LOVE ANYWAY.
The sad truth is that the Federal Gov, the DEA, and the State Police or DPS want to completely outlaw the sale of amphedamine in the US, because they don't believe it helps people. They think people with ADD just want to "get high' from amphedamines. They have put so many hurdles in the way of you getting your medicine that you will only end up having it on hand about 50% of the time. If you play by the rules I just mentioned, and get your meds in Mexico, you have a fighting chance at a normal life. You ask "What if I get caught smuggling the medicine back across?" My answer: You won't be any worse off then you are going to be without your medicine, so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Adult ADD only gets worse. Forget social norm, forget the "law", forget everybodys useless advice....YOU NEED TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU, BECAUSE LAW IS WRITTEN FOR THE MASSES AND NOT THE INDIVIDUAL. Do what is right for you before ADD destroys your life and all that you love.

Hi, try to answer this question honestly: do you prefer to have your dis-ease called a mysterious medical name like ADHD or are you interested in honest self development? If the second appeals to you more: have you ever heard of the indigo children...there is lots of information on the internet. many of them are diagnosed ADHD but medicine helps them little as their answer usually are pills. "Labeling is sometimes doing more bad than good!"
Behind many medical symptoms there is a individual life story that is full of important information for self healing. TRUST that the 4 letters ADHD do not describe your dis-eases, longings, pains and worries. Be strong and start searching for deeper meanings of your symptoms.
search the net for indigo/ADHD and you might read lots of relevant things about yourself. lots of love and be well!

I have been acquainted with various learning disorders as my son had a few. Because we realised there was a problem early on, he has not been traumatised like others, and because we had money and decided to spend it on his education, he has done well.

ADHD is just another fake syndrome so people don't have to take responsibility for their actions
