Is Toyota is the KING of recalls?

I read the reports too. And I'm very surprised. You are absolutely right. If Toyota (parent company of Lexus Motors) does not fix these problems as soon as possible, I don't think they would continue to have the same credibility that they have today. I don't drive a Toyota. But over so many years, Toyota and Lexus were always on top of the reliability list of JD Powers and Associates. I don't know what is happening to them this year. It is either that they are cutting costs to compete with the Koreans, or maybe it is because their over-confidence has come back to bite them. What ever the case may be. We would just have to wait and see what happens next and what they will do about these problems.

Actually, Toyota is recalling a lot of it's vehicles, not due to engine problems or what not, but just to try and prevent any further failure in terms of it's safety and all those little details. The great thing about toyota is that they recall their cars before anything ever happens; they are like "predicting and securing," kind of like the term "better safe than sorry". Toyota is still and will always be the world's most reliable and quality car. Unlike Toyota, most car companies won't even recall their cars until people get hurt or die. Toyota is the greatest!!!

The latest recall has something to do with the clip that holds the floor mats in place,. Toyota, if this is kind of problems your having with your cars keep up your GREAT track record. My Chrysler 300M started smoking from the rear speaker system and almost caught on fire. I never heard of Chrysler recalIing burning cars. I took a huge lose when I sold that car. I now drive a LEXUS and will never go back. Great job TOYOTA!!!!

Actually the recalls from this year in the US have had no reports of any injuries or deaths involved with them. Toyota is just looking out for the consumer, for instance, one of the recalls with the Highlander/Rav 4 I believe was to replace a piece of plastic that MIGHT fall out and land on your foot while driving.

I think that a company with a proven track record of reliability and one that has the balls to recall that many and fix them before anything happens (cough cough Firestone) is one that anyone should trust.

authentic, they due have a sludge issue, yet. I took my Camry (a 'ninety 8 V-6 that became nevertheless operating fantastic), with 220,000 miles on it, with only one oil change paper ever, and they did a finished rebuild for free. attempt that with an american motor vehicle. one in each and every of Toyota's remembers that each and each and every individual is making a fuss about is the floor mat clips. And yet another is somewhat of plastic that comes free. is this worse than engines, or transmissions blowing and nevertheless no longer being recalled?

If Toyota defects kill just 1/10th of the people that Ford, GM, or Chrysler have killed in just the past 10 years, you might be on to something. Until that day, you can't say nuthin'

GM has alot more known recalls...

MOPARS are king, especially as related to emissions devices.

I think it's safe to say that FORD has the most recalls. PERIOD!!
